  • Assisting patients with completion of intake and financial paperwork. Enters patient information into the electronic recordkeeping system.

  • Scheduling appointments, making copies, maintaining and retrieving patient files.
  • Generating service reports.
  • Collecting patient fees for services and literature.

Schedule is 8:00am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday as well as approximately one Saturday every three months from 8am to Noon.

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with multi-line telephone, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide substance abuse treatment to clients through individual, group and/or family counseling sessions and development of case plans. Provide continuity of treatment to clients returning to the community from institutions.
  • Complete appropriate evaluations on clients discharged from treatment. Perform periodic review of goals and objectives and prepares written summary of client progress.
  • Coordinate client and outreach activities within agency and regulatory guidelines.
  • Facilitate adolescent group treatment and family counseling.
  • Maintain client records per agency standards and completes all required forms as specified by agency policy. Complete online and paper form data reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Service, Social Work, Psychology or related field and either a CADC or an independent license (LISW, LMSW, LMHC or LMFT).  One year of experience, preferably in the substance abuse field desired. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, organizational skills and attention to detail required.

  • Provide direct care to residential, halfway and detoxification clients
  • Conduct initial physical and psychological assessment to determine appropriateness for our facility
  • Assist counselors with the development of treatment plans and strategies
  • Triage client medical concerns to determine in-house treatment, referral to Medical Director or external medical facility.
  • Assist with the coordination of required physical exams and laboratory tests for clients.
  • Maintain medical records.
  • Ensure timely certification for treatment with third party payers.

Open shifts: Saturday 6pm to 6am; Sunday 6am to 6pm

 Qualifications:

  • Valid Iowa license or certification.
  • Two years of related experience, preferably in the area of substance abuse or psychiatric treatment.
