  • Provide direct care to residential, halfway and detoxification clients
  • Conduct initial physical and psychological assessment to determine appropriateness for our facility
  • Assist counselors with the development of treatment plans and strategies
  • Triage client medical concerns to determine in-house treatment, referral to Medical Director or external medical facility.
  • Assist with the coordination of required physical exams and laboratory tests for clients.
  • Maintain medical records.
  • Ensure timely certification for treatment with third party payers. 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Iowa license or certification.

Two years of related experience, preferably in the area of substance abuse or psychiatric treatment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting clients with completing financial paperwork.
  • Contacting insurance and managed care companies to determine benefits.
  • Entering client financial information into electronic recordkeeping system and posting services. Ensures all data required for state reporting is entered into the system.  Monitors and corrects error reports from electronic recordkeeping system.
  • Preparing monthly statements.

High school diploma or equivalent and two years clerical experience and proficiency with Word and Excel required.  Strong verbal and written communications skills also required.  Experience with billing, insurance or accounting preferred.

Schedule is:  Monday through Thursday 11am to 8pm; Friday, 8am to 5pm.
